Review of Mikasa Cocoa Blossom 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1

This set is beautiful, and I love that it is dishwasher and microwave safe.Unfortunately, a majority of the pieces purchased for us had uneven banding and obvious irregularities.I either have to return the entire set of china (to various places), or I have to be able to inspect each piece before I exchange it, given that the banding and splotch irregularities are frequent and consistent across different pieces and different vendors (including Amazon and Macy's).This would have been such a beautiful and versatile set.I was looking forward to adding onto this set over time and I am not only very disappointed, I feel extremely inconvenienced.The dinner plates were all fine; the problem was especially prevalent in add-on pieces such as the soup and cereal bowls, accent plates, and rice bowls. I am not sure what the problem is but at the very least, please inspect each piece before you buy it.
