In my experience with espana I have concluded that it is a beautiful line, but you must take extra good care of it.It claims its earthenware, but I feel its one down from that.Its POTTERY, which is a low kilned(temperature) fired clay, and earthen ware is less porus and fired at a higher temp.Its very porus and can display bright colors and details.It is best used as decorative additions to your better wares or as a special occasion dining.DONT put in dishwashers.This product is VERY fragile. It chips easily. not an everyday usage ware.Again beautiful product that needs to be handled with much care.Product Description
