We ordered this set of dishes after endless looking through stores and online to find what we were looking for.They arrived in two boxes of four place settings each.One box was undamaged but the second box contained five broken items out of sixteen.I contacted Amazon.com and they replaced the entire order (both boxes) at no charge and did not require me to return the first order.The replacement order arrived today.One box contained three broken bowls and a broken small plate.The other box contained two broken bowls.We have received two 16-piece place settings and essentially have a complete service for nine.There seems to be a real problem with this item -- either in the Amazon warehouse, shipping center, the packaging from Pfaltzgraff or with UPS.I will definitely think twice before I order another item of this kind from Amazon.I would have given the item five stars except for the inability to ship the item damage-free.
