I recieved this as a gift along with the platter. I use this to keep salad (potato salad, spinach salad) cold when I know the food will be out on the table for a while. When everyone is gone and I clear the table the bowl is still cold to touch! And it looks very nice on the table. I don't know how it works but it's a great piece to have.Product Description
