Because of the discounts plural offered by Amazon, this is a good purchase.It's fun and the everyday flowers keep this from being too precious. The bugs are fantastic especially the fat bees. These dishes and cups feel very comfortable in the hand as does the matching rice bowl so I recommend this.Also, I think this would be a cheery gift to give to elderly women especially ones who don't like flowery twee patterns because new dishes are something that you tend not to get when you reach a certain age. This is a much much better choice than plain white dishes which I would never do or a discounted snowflake set by Corelle.There is a non-Lenox brand (Homevisions)that is also offering a butterfly and flower pattern that is dippy looking.
Every piece is made in Indonesia.I read somewhere that the Corelle sets were mismatched because all but the cups were made together and the cups didn't match.I liked the idea of indestructible everyday dinnerware to match my indestructible restaurant pieces but reading deeper, I found that Corelle didn't promise such hardiness.This delicate looking Lenox set is lightweight and gentle on the lips but chip-proof enough for my purpose.
