Review of Pfaltzgraff Patio Garden Salt and Pepper Set

When I first saw these salt & pepper shakers, I fell in love. When I purchased them, amazon had them on sale for $15, and I'm glad I grabbed them when I did. They arrived 6 days before amazon estimated they would, so I was quite pleased with the delivery.

The colors and subtle floral design are just so perfect.I don't have a scrap of floral anything in my house (except for some Don Li-Leger lily tapestries), as I lean toward the Arts & Crafts style, but my mother-in-law was commenting to my husband how masculine our interior design was, when he hadn't picked out anything, *I* had.Being a 20-something woman, I'm too easily influenced by the things my mother-in-law says. She was thrilled when I had these on my table when they next came to visit, along with the matching butter dish.I was thrilled because these S&P shakers aren't plain, instead they're different and yet still match my style.(The warm dark brown color on the shakers also matches the wood in my house.)

They're filled via a rubbery-plastic plug on the bottom of the shakers. One shaker has 2 dispensing holes, the other has 3 holes. These aren't small holes.I have the salt in the shaker with 2 holes, and find too much salt ends up on my food if I dispense directly onto my food.Instead, I dispense salt into my palm, and sprinkle onto my food.I suppose this is the one downside to these shakers.

I hope this review helps you decide if these shakers are right for you!

Product Description
Boldly styled flowers and vines are silhouetted in a stencil-like rendering against brushed sage green and cornflower blue fields. Each piece features individual interpretations of the floral pattern motifs, trimmed in deep coffee brown. A rich copper outer band with a flowing black vine evokes classical pottery design.
