My friend Kelly, who I have to admit has much grander tastes than me, selected the June Lane pattern for me.Last Christmas, I received my first place setting from Kelly and another friend Ken.I have to tell you that I've been using the same stoneware I bought out of graduate school ten years ago, whether it was a formal or informal event.I really didn't consider how gracious and grand dinner would be when served on fine bone china. The pattern has shades of shale, grey and an ample amount of platinum. The pattern shimmers, much like the dragonfly wings depicted in the signature motif. It's both delicate and masculine - if a china pattern can be masculine - while at the same time classically elegant and beautiful.I've got one place setting and two additional pieces.I hope and imagine that Kelly and Ken will buy a place setting for me this Christmas.I'm going to get a service for eight, with a place setting or two extra for replacements, along with the completer peices.By the way, they look grand with my Gorham Lady Anne crystal, also compliments of Kelly!I may be a masculine guy, but it's nice to become appreciative of elegance, class and beauty.
