I've been using this flatware for about 4-5 years now and love it. I've not had any problem with rust since I replaced my old dishwasher which was about 25 yrs old. Prior to that, alot of my flatware and kitchen knives had rust but then so did my dishwasher. I love the weight of the pieces as well as the sharpness of the tines on the forks. I'm now looking for replacements as grandkids have occasionally lost a piece or two.
