This "Sedona" style dinner plate by Pfaltzgraff is indeed dishwasher and microwave safe. The manufacturer claims that it is also oven and freezer safe; but I can't comment on that because I haven't used it in the oven and freezer. Although this is made to be a dinner plate; this can be used as a small serving plate. You can also use this dinner plate for all those luxurious, oversized decadent desserts! Great!
The design of the plate is very smart. The cream color in the center is nicely complemented by the little blue spots hand painted with care; and there are attractive multicolored stripes running around the circumference of this twelve inch wide plate. The overall effect gives it that warm, vibrant southwest feel; the design can also go with many contemporary and even modern dining room sets.
Actually, this dinner plate is completely hand painted; that impresses me. There is a five year warranty but with the great design of these plates I doubt you'll ever need it! When I handle the plate it feels very sturdy and solid.
