I have owned and used a large set of these Heritage dishes by Pfaltzgraff since receiving them for wedding gifts almpst 15 years ago. They have lasted wonderfully. They have rarely chipped or broken, and can handle all kinds of treatment- from the freezer to the microwave, and even to the oven. I love the simple design- which always highlights the beauty of the food on the plate, and goes with almost any casual table decor at all different times of the year. For me their downfall has been that stainless steel utensils leave ugly gray marks all over them during regular use. Pfaltzgraff does sell a special cleaner that will (sometimes) remove these marks- but you have to coat the dishes in the cleaner, leave them on the counter to let it soak in for 15 or 20 minutes, and then scrub the cleaner off. This is too laborious and time consuming of a process to occur very often in my busy home.
