I got this for my aunt-in-law who is an apple-themed collector.I first washed it and made an apple pie in it to give to her... the plate is more the 10" size than regular 9", so my crust didn't quite cover, but that was my fault.I liked how it turned a deep wine red when hot, and as the pie cooled it went back to it's beautiful cherry red color.I collect hearts and have the heart shaped one but I use it for a fruit bowl.So pretty :)
