Review of Corelle 6003893 Winter Frost White 10-Inch Plate

This plate, the 10 inch is the normal size dinner plate, just so you know. It's easy to buy the wrong size with these because they come in so many sizes. My aunt has had the Winter Frost White as long as I can remember, and now I am slowly building my own collection. I love them - they are very light and strong. I tried throwing a plate on the kitchen floor and it is still intact. The material feels like a combination of porcelin and pyrex as weird as that sounds. They are so thin and light that I could probably carry at least 35 of them. This is perfect for your everyday meals. Highly recommended!

This half yard ale glass is a very cool item - definitely will make you look like a serious/stylish beer lover.The stand is sturdy and well made, but the wood is not of high quality (unfamiliar Asian hardwood).The half yard glass itself is nicely made and has a nice thick lip around the mouth which should help it to survive longer without being chipped or broken.This item is made in China, but the clearance price of $11.99 makes this item a steal no matter what!

Review of Pfaltzgraff Sedona Open Stock Individual Pasta Bowl

Sometimes when I have guests they like to eat pasta; and I enjoy pasta myself so that's what's on the menu! This "Sedona" style individual pasta bowl by Pfaltzgraff is indeed dishwasher and microwave safe. The manufacturer claims that it is also oven and freezer safe; but I can't comment on that because I haven't used it in the oven and freezer.

Although this is made to be a pasta bowl; this can also be used for deserts, breakfast cereals with generous helpings and other types of meals or salads with larger portions. It could even be used as a bowl to hold dip at a party; guests will never know the difference. Great!

The design of the bowl is very smart. The dark shade of blue in the center is nicely complemented by the warm, earthy tones with abstract shapes all around the circumference of this eight inch wide bowl. The overall effect certainly does give it that vibrant southwest feel; the design can also go with many contemporary and even modern dining room sets. It will not go with anything colonial, as you might have assumed.

In addition, the bowl is fairly good sized for those of us (ME!!!) who can't get enough of that pasta, dessert, or whatever is on the menu. The bowl can hold just up to 20 ounces of pasta and that's excellent. A good, deep bowl is what you need when you have pasta lovers or people who want paella at the dinner table!

This pasta bowl is hand painted; that impresses me. There is a five year warranty but with the great design of these bowls I doubt you'll ever need it! When I handle the bowl it feels very sturdy and solid.

While these bowls are beautiful, they are not dishwasher safe as stated.The first time I used them and washed them in the dishwasher, there was a medium sized white chip on the edge.Tried to glue it back on and of course, it came off the next time I used them and washed them in the dishwasher.Since then, three out of the four individual bowls have small to medium chips. I now wash them by hand and wish I had realized that the first time around.

If you were lucky enough to buy this china back in the sixties, when it was introduced, then you likely enjoy your purchase.The product that Lenox sells today is vastly inferior--I speak from experience, having purchased my service for 16 within the last two years.I have received pieces directly from Lenox's so-called "first quality" showrooms, and they had pitted glaze, discoloration on the metal banding, and even black spots (called pepper marks in the trade) on a few pieces!I would expect this from one of the outlet stores, but not when ordering first quality!Trying to return flawed pieces was a hassle--they wanted me to pay the return shipping on their misrepresented pieces!

The "lifetime replacement" policy has a few key restrictions that they often neglect to inform customers of properly.You must pay shipping, and you must send them payment that is 50% of the full MSRP (which is usually grossly inflated over what you will pay in a department store such as Macy's).On top of that, if your pattern or the piece in question is discontinued, you are out of luck...and Lenox discontinues patterns at an alarmingly high rate.Solitaire has been a top seller for Lenox for many years, so it will probably be around for a while, but you never know...

Lucky for me, I have completed my set, and have never broken a dish in my life, so I probably don't have to worry about it.For those of you just starting to purchase fine china, do yourself a favor and compare the quality of Spode, Wedgwood, or Royal Copenhagen.In my experience they produce a higher quality product, and are more willing to stand behind what they sell.Best of luck!

Review of Ginkgo President 5PC Place Setting

Firstly, I bought these for a much lower price than what they are now, so I consider them a good value.If I had paid $20 a set..well, I just probably would not have paid that.

They are nice though.They have a very smooth finish that sheds water very well (nice when washing), and they are holding up well so far (not quite a year).They are not heavy duty strength or anything, but they are not cheap.Just don't use them in inappropriate ways.

This teapot is beautiful, but the tiny handle is not comfortable for lifting a heavy, full, boiling hot teapot. The spout, which is very cute, is dreadful for pouring; I've stained all my table linens from blurping, spouting tea poured from this pot. I bought this bowl for my sister for X-Mas one year.She has used it many times on subsequent family parties and holidays.She has told me that she loves the colorful design.It is voluminous and holds enough for your entire family (rolls, chips, etc.)Pfaltzgraff wares are on the heavy side and do not appeal to those who prefer more delicate wares; however, both my sister and I agree that this is not an issue for us.I personally love the Pfaltzgraff design and look forward to buying more of their products for myself and my family.

Review of Corelle Hearthstone Stoneware Round 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4

So far I love my dishes the only drawback is that they are stonewear so the bottom rim is a little rough and my cherry table is very sensitive. I have to make sure that I use placemats when setting them on the table or they will scratch the finish. Other than that they are beautiful!

I recently bought 3 sets and i was very surprised that one of the 30 total pieces (large bowl) came broken.
I took the 3 sets and went abroad therefore i didn't return it.
It is an excellent set of china and the chopsticks are really fine.

Talk about big, I bought it for a salad/pasta bowl. But when not in that use, most of the time, it makes a nice fruit bowl. It can fit 7 large apples in the base, probably stack 3 high. It looks nice so if you pot luck, it can hold a lot. It's as big as a "that's a bowl".

I have several of these bowls and use them frequently.They are the perfect size for snacks.I also use them frequently for food prep tasks when I'm cooking - they're a good size to hold a half-cup to one cup of a dry ingredient.And of course, they are the perfect size for their intended purpose - fruit.I find myself putting fruit on the table more often now that I have these bowls.A cereal sized bowl seems like a lot of dish for one serving of fruit.This smaller size prevents clutter on the table - especially if you are serving salad and bread on individual dishes.

Review of Fiesta Peacock 451 9" Rim Soup (13 1/4 oz)

We love Fiesta ware, and purchased rimmed soup bowls thinking, "Ooh, a sort-of formal piece of china to add to our Fiesta collection!"

It definitely works for soup but it's also our first choice for pasta, chili and big salads--stuff that might need a little more corraling than a plate can provide (like a big mounded salad) but not necessarily something liquidy like soup. It holds more than the bowls that come as part of the 4- or 5-piece sets Fiesta ware comes in, too.

Funny, how something as simple as a soup plate can spoil you!

Review of Fiesta? Jumbo Cup, 18 oz.

If you like to carry your food around and do other things while eating this is a great cup for you. It is a really wonderful soup bowl. The only thing that would make it better is if the Fiesta made a matching sandwich platter with a little place for the cup to sit.

These cups have a comfortable handle, unlike some of their other cups. And it is a great shape to sit in your hands. I don't use these for coffee, it gets too cold before I can drink it all. Fans of Gillmore Girls will recognize these as the coffee cups from Luke's Dinner. And if they can keep a Gilmore Girl happy they should hold enough coffee for you.

First of all, you can't beat the price.The quality is very good with only one glitch; the slots holding the glasses were not wide enough to fit the bottom of the wine glass stem.I would suggest when ordering this product you measure your glasses and indicate the size you need.I took mine apart, repositioned the boards and reassembled.Looks great in the wine room!
