I received this bowl as a wedding gift five years ago.I still use it on a regular basis; it has proven to be useful for many things.I can empty a 16 oz. bag of frozen vegetables into the bowl, add seasonings, cover it with plastic wrap, and microwave.One bowl cooking!Yes!Just be careful when removing it from the microwave; the stoneware retains a lot of heat and is therefore very hot.
This bowl even makes brussels sprouts look good!The two toned black glaze is very attractive, and draws attention to the food that you've worked so hard to prepare.I have put everything in it from salad to soup to dessert.The convenient rim allows you to carry it around easily; I've even taken it to an outdoor picnic.
I like that I can cook in it, then just put the leftovers straight into the fridge.Cleanup is easy because it's dishwasher safe.It is still holding up after five years, and I know I am going to use it for many more.
