This is the first tea set I've found with such a deep strainer.This is great for me because it means I can put my tea leaves in the strainer instead of in the kettle and then straining before pouring into the cups.Be aware that this is a small set (I was perfectly aware, no worries).I generally make enough for just three cups, but I think there may be enough room for the extra liquid for that fourth cup.I only need service for three, personally.
Don't put this on your stove top.Heat the water first and then pour in (I use a small water heating appliance - such as this one).The crackling on the bottom is just lovely and green tea looks especially nice when served with this set.
