these are great, but i wouldn't recommend putting the lids in the dishwasher, they warp and shrink. other than though they look great and you can serve out of them and then trow the lid on it for leftovers. perfect.

We have an enamel on steel colander from Reston LLoyd (similar to these bowls but with the perforations for a colander). After about two years, rust was evident at the edges and under the enamel. I don't recommend any enamel on steel from Reston LLoyd. Enamel on *stainless* steel, sure; but that's not what these bowls are.

I recently purchased these bowls and I have to say they are not only functional but are really very pretty. They go from the fridge to the table and back with no problem.The seal is good and snug,and I like the fact theat they nest so they store easily. At a recent pot luck they made my homemade coleslaw look really attractive on the table. The pink is a nice retro color, and I like that the lids are the same color, not just a plain or translucent white. Nice bowl set, I recomend them.

I wasn't expecting a lot when I ordered these bowls because they were so cheap in price. I needed more bowls with lids and so I thought I would give them a try. $11.25 for 6 bowls seemed like a good risk. The biggest is a good size to take potato salad to a picnic and the next size isn't much smaller. the lids fit snug and aren't hard to get on and off. The box says made in Thailand. The green is a pretty shade. they are not dishwasher safe. is says discoloration that may occur after repeated use may be removed by using lemon juice. It says not to use abrasives to clean with. Use a sponge or dishcloth. I am pleasantly surprised and I think I will order another set to give as a gift.
