After vacation this year, my husband and I vowed to spend more time enjoying life outdoors. We needed a few things to accomplish this, one being a large, sturdy tray with raised sides, so transporting meals from the kitchen down some stairs to our patio would be mishap-free.
Mission accomplished with this La Cadeaux tray. Plus the cheery pattern (we picked the yellow rooster) is attractive enough to display when not in use. It says it's dishwasher safe, but I haven't tried it since it cleans up easily with a soapy cloth and a rise.
My only dissatisfactions are:
1. I wish it were slightly larger so I'd have fewer trips to make, but it handles two dinner plates, glasses, silverware and napkins, so it is adequate for most of our meals.
2. The edges of the cut-out handles are a little thin, which can be uncomfortable when carrying something heavy.
Otherwise, I recommend it and also the coordinated serving bowl/platter setServing Set of Le Cadeaux Triple Weight Melamine 12" Salad or Serving Bowl, Serving Utensils and 16" Platter, Limone.
Product DescriptionHeavy and durable special melamine, triple weight to ensure strength and resist shattering.Dishwasher safe, but not microwave safe (Melamine never is micro wave safe due to the nature of the manufacturing process). The designs are inspired by French and Italian Pottery.

My mom liked it, what else needs to be said. Nice size, simple nice looks.
I recently had to obtain new dinnerware; I wanted something all white. After purchasing a stoneware set from Pfaltzgraff and watching it get completely scratched up after 1 week's use, I returned it all.A bridal consultant at Macy's suggested china instead of stoneware for durability reasons (including the four children who load and unload our dishwasher). We were intrigued with Mikasa's Antique White pattern but thought that it was out of our price range until we discovered it at Amazon. We <love> our new plates and bowls and have begun collecting other serving pieces. It's lighter than stoneware, and makes even tacos seem more elegant. The pieces have already been clanked together soundly without a crack, scratch, or chip.We are very happy with this purchase.
I've been looking for round soup spoons for a very long time, and they are difficult to find. When I ordered these I was prepared to receive something lightweight and a not so great quality.I was so suprised to receive these high quality, heavy spoons. These are well balanced and have a mirror shine. I'm very, very pleased with these spoons and they are so reasonable in price.Do not hesitate to buy these if you need soup spoons.
The mugs are very nice but the only thing that I might complain about is that when you pure something very hot into a mug the mug gets extremely warm and hard to touch for a few moments.Pfaltzgraff Winterberry 14-Ounce Coffee Mugs, Set of 4
Great find, great price, great style. I wanted a complete picnic basket but not something that looked feminine and frilly. This case has everything you would need but in a style that any man would feel comfortable in carrying with you anywhere.
All of these FAT CHEF products are great for entertaining and serving Italian food.
