This pitcher is the perfect size for refilling your guests' glasses of water or iced tea.It looks pretty sitting on the table.I have even used it as a vase for fresh flowers!

Review of Reston Lloyd Melamine Salad Plate, Set of 6

I purchased these plates to help transition my toddler from baby plates to real dinnerware. I figured by letting her use these plates, which look like real plates, I would get a chance to see how well she could handle something breakable.

The plates are large for salad plates. In fact, their diameter is larger than the salad plates in our everyday china. This is great for my intended purpose, because I can fit my daughter's whole kid-sized dinner on one.

My problem is that the plates state they are only dishwasher safe on the TOP RACK, and because the plates are so wide, it can be difficult to fit them into the top rack. (Fortuntately, the top rack in our dishwasher can be lowered.)

What's worse, even though I have followed the instructions to wash them on the top rack only, and I never use the heated dry cycle of the dishwasher, the plates have gotten terribly warped. One even cracked. This is within six months of purchase.

These plates could be wonderful for occasional use, such as for outdoor entertaining. They look decent and are lightweight and unbreakable, and I think if they were only washed by hand, they would be durable.

Review of Gibson Conway 32 pc, Blue

I actually really like these dishes the only problem is they didn't all make it in one piece.Now I can't get a replacement for the broken plates that I have.I like the color, the size, and shape.Just wish I could have the full set.

Review of Dansk Christianshavn Blue Salt and Pepper Shakers

If your dish pattern is either blue Dansk Bistro or Concerto, these salt and pepper shakers are the only ones made that go with those patterns.I wanted them for that reason, and I didn't want to pay very much for them.Amazon is currently running these on the "4 for 3" promotion whereby if you buy four items on a designated list, the lowest priced item will be free.By averaging what I spent on four items, these cost me $11.50, which is about right.The first pair came broken, and for the first time in seven years, I had to return an item to Amazon.The process was stunningly simple and fast.I had my second, perfect pair in less than a week.The reason that these don't get five stars with me is that I don't like pepper shakers with just one hole.

Review of Sophie Conran by Portmeirion 9-1/2-Inch Salad Bowl, White

I would be embarrassed to disclose how much time I spent looking for every day dishes. Most of what's out there seemed trite and boring. When I saw Sophie Conran's designs for Portmerion, I knew I had found what I was looking for. The design is fresh, the contours are a blend of modern and rustic and it is lovely to hold. I especially like the slightly out of round shape of the bowls and the way the various colors available work together. My "set" includes celadon salad plates and soup bowls with white plates and cups. Serving pieces are in all three colors with biscuit reserved for baking dishes.

This porcelain stands up to oven heat, dishwasher and freezer wear and still looks perfect. It does not chip easily. Best of all, its clean lines and simple colors look great on the table.

Review of Royal Doulton Provence Noir 4-Piece Dinnerware Place Setting, Service for 1

The beautiful dinnerware arrived from Amazon quickly, as usual. One item was broken in transit and it was replaced almost instantly. Can't beat the Amazon service or price and I checked everywhere, including the outlet. I still need a few pieces to complete my set and wish they had the pasta bowls. I love the dinnerware - it is just beautiful and classy.

I registered for these as a wedding gift.One of my mugs was already cracked when I got it.The dinnerware chips easily.I still love the way they look with the exception of how easy they chip.The plates are smaller than what one would expect.
